Faith & Deeds Community Health is a faith based, community supported non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the Northwest Georgia counties of Floyd, Polk and Chattooga by providing quality healthcare services to uninsured residents who have no access to basic healthcare.  Redmond Regional and the Internal Medicine Residency is committed to supporting the underserved of our region.  Residents and faculty volunteer to provide care to patients twice weekly during their ambulatory +1 weeks.

The physicians of Harbin Clinic provide an enormous contribution as faculty in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings of Redmond’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. Specialists from the entire spectrum of Medicine contribute to the education of trainees, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology and Oncology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine. The group will also support elective training in Dermatology, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and Physical Medicine and Rehab.

Highland Rivers Health – Rome Crisis Stabilization Unit

Highland Rivers Health is the second largest public safety net provider of Behavioral Health services in the state of Georgia. The Rome Crisis Stabilization Unit provides outpatient and inpatient care for the Rome/Floyd County area. Under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Seal, it will be the primary site of the resident’s exposure to Behavioral Health where they will gain experience in the diagnosis and management of patients with acute and chronic addiction and other behavioral health issues.

First-year residents will rotate with Dr. Montgomery ½ day per ambulatory week and first-year Osteopathic residents will have a mandatory selective in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Under the guidance of lead faculty member and Mercer Medical School graduate and Emory trained, Dr. John Pittman, Redmond Regional Medical Center has created a partnership now called Redmond Medical Group – East to provide a superb setting for one of the resident’s ambulatory primary care experiences. Here, residents will be provided with the ability to develop a longitudinal relationship with patients in a private-practice setting over the course of their three-year training.

Rome Endoscopy Center will contribute to the education of our residents during the Gastroenterology elective rotation through their three faculty members Dr. Louis Lataif, Dr. Roderick Remoroza and Dr. Damus Lufadeju. All three physicians provide consultative GI services at Redmond Regional Medical Center and extensive outpatient endoscopy and GI intervention at their center directly across from Redmond’s main campus.

Rome VA Clinic

Redmond Regional Medical Center is pleased to partner with the VA to provide a venue to serve Rome’s veterans.  The Rome Community Based Outpatient Clinic provides multiple services in addition to Primary Care, including Pharmacy services, Dietitian/Nutrition counseling, Social Services, Mental Health evaluations, Basic Radiology, Teleretinal services, MOVE program, Diabetic Education Courses, and Laboratory services.  It serves a large number of adult veterans in the Rome/Floyd County area.  Residents will rotate at the Clinic during an elective ambulatory rotation.
