Dr. Bushnell is an orthopedic surgeon at the Harbin Clinic specializing in shoulder, knee, and sports medicine surgery. He is currently a team physician for the Rome Braves, Berry College, Trion High School, the U.S. Ski Team, and the Rome-Floyd SWAT Team. Dr. Bushnell has published more than forty articles about sports medicine, shoulder and knee surgery, and other topics. He remains actively involved in clinical shoulder research and has made numerous presentations at state, national, and international meetings.
He has written and published “A Doctor’s Basic Business Handbook: Things I Wish I Had Known When I Got Started” – which provides real-world strategies for success in the initial stages of a career in medicine. Designed for physicians in training and the early years of their practice, this book covers everything in the world of “medical business” – from billing and coding to medical marketing to contract law to personal financial management. He has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences and Grand Rounds on the topic of Business of Medicine.
